Hi All,
A friends MR2 had succumbed to tin worm in the usual area, the sill. The drivers side had previously been repaired so we just needed to patch the passenger side.
First cuts:
Paul confirming the trueness of his measuring cable:
Confirming the dimensions. As wide as the card, but as long as the cable:
Transferring to steel:
Tacking and hammering:
Welding:
Mostly done:
Luckily the cable was slightly too long:
After some dressing and filler:
Now just needs some sanding and paint.
