hi
they ok but no good for such as tight corners, i did a e,type jag
a floorpan drivers side one of awkward job ive done, my dremil worked
wonders, just takes a bit longer because of the size of the stone bit end you
use.....
Another job this week.. This one failed its MOT test for sharp edges and needed putting back into service. It wasn't majorly rotten, and I found some good 3mm thick steel to weld up against Good excuse to crank that MIG up past its usual setting of 3 out of 8!
Because of its simplicity, It made no sense to just 'plate over' the rotten area, so It was chopped cleanly out, leaving only good sound material remaining. The replacement panels were beat into shape by myself by hand, only using the leg of an old engine hoist and a big hammer, ruler and felt tip pen.
i am pleased at how it all fell together nicely. This job along with the sill I did on my own car that went so well, has given me an ego boost on my capability of fabrications! I'm very pleased with myself!
Good work that truck's had some abuse by the looks of it... loving the rip in the aluminum tailgate! can't believe it's that rotten at 06. hows the chassis looking?

The tailgate is ali, we have no ali welding equipment on site. What originally was there was a piece of 3 inch wide by 3mm thick flat bar riveted onto the tailgate. They will replace the whole gate at a later date (apparently!)
