I am replacing some bearings but the new ones are slightly different.
the bearings is not as wide but overall width is the same so that isn't a big concern for me but there is a dimple on the surface of the new bearing which is is not allowing the bearing housing to sit flush.
new vs old
bearing housing
I am think to either grind a bit of the housing away to seat the dimple as I am in a rush and I need to get the machine up and running or grind the little dimple but I am unsure as to why it is there or what it does, the old one does not have it and they are listed as compatible for my bearing.
Thanks
