I thought it was a big job tuh so what ya doin after lunch??I'm guessing the biggest factor here will not be with the
welding kit but with my own ability to control the kit and
to get roughly the same result 45~60 thousand times over.
In the new year I'll get my first welding kit, was looking at
a Clark 152. It will give me freedom to weld up to 5mm
which would be more than enough for any needs I might have.

The lowest setting on that one is 40A which will make it difficult to use on very thin stuff.
I think a modified spot welder is what's most commonly used for this. Or a dedicated machine like this one:

The idea was to charm the hotty, then take her home, not charm the hotty, then go home alone and die for a week.
