Hi folks.
I am not actually a welder, but I have been examining some of the basic principles of it as looking to do a diploma in it next year. I have a question
on weld quality.
Suppose you have 2 pipes and you want to weld them together. If
I took the 2 pipes and prepped them first of all, by placing a bevel
on the ends to be welded (as illustrated in my render), placing them together, then welding, allowing the weld to flow down into the ridge I have created, will this create a stronger weld? or will it only increase the probability of a burn through because I am making the walls thinner?
Cheers
Noel
