right not to long ago i wanted to make my own exhaust for my car ( cat back) i dont have any bending equipment so i phoned the local " custom exhaust specialist" to see if he would be willing to bend all of the pieces needed and i would just pay as he made the full thing up, my idea was to tig weld it up nice and neat as abit of a home project , when i mention this to him he started saying it will last 2 weeks then be back off the car , now im no expert here infact im just coming out of my time, but any that have come into the shop at work with cracks etc i have tig welded up and never had an issue iv also done manifolds etc, basically i want to know if what hes saying is true or if hes on a high horse because a 19 year old wants to have a go at doing somthing productive and giving it a go ?
sorry for the long story but alot of the top jap stuff is ( buddy club etc) seem to be tig but the likes of milltek seem to be mig so i'm a little up in the air and confused what i should do?
