hello all, i have been using a spray gun and 2k paint for doing wheels over the last few years but it chips quite easily. i have thought that going into powder coating is a better option. i am aware i will need to bake the wheels at 200 degrees for 20 minutes after coating them. i have seen a few people use old ovens and rip out the heater elements and thermostat and fit them into a larger oven fabricated from steel sheeting. i have had an idea that is probably crazy, could i remove the oven door and weld a larger sorrounding around the oven from sheet steel to make it big enogh to hold a wheel. would the oven be capable of coping with the larger space it needs to heat that will probably be around twice the size of the original space.
sorry if im talking a load of rubbish. any advise would be great.
cheers, james
