Hi all,
Another boring first welds thread I'm afraid. Hoping some of you out there may be able to offer some pointers.
I've got a clarke 160tm and I've just been having a play.
On 2mm metal I was getting good penetration, but I've stepped up to 3 and 4 mm and I'm struggling a little.
Couple of pictures below of a little example.
Its 3mm steel, using 0.8mm wire, Argon/CO2 mix and power was set to 3min (which is one from max). I'm getting the nice sizzling sound and only a little splatter, but penetration isn't so good. More power needed? Slower movement maybe?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
