Hi folks! I have a rounded piece of 6 mm plate - about 40 x 60 cm - that started life as part of a boiler. I managed to flatten it somewhat with some angle bar and lots of clamps as well as some heavy wacks with a sledge hammer, but it's springy and still nowhere near flat. I want to make a welding table from it. Plans are to weld on some 30x30x5 angle bar lengthwise, but I'm afraid the heavier rounded plate will pull the angle up.
Any ideas what to do?
