50mm x 6mm which is what im assuming he has used takes a good bit of bending in the vice cold, ok if you have gas as you can warm it up and give it a bend
It's a standard SWB, the bumper isn't from a lightweight but is a standard military bumper as fitted to the 109 (LWB) the army used. I just think they look better with the bumperettes!
Nope not a chance they'll fall off, they were bolted to my capstan winch before but I just sold that so needed some brackets. It's 50mm x 5mm I think and is all I had lying around.
I don't have a vice so couldn't have done that anyway, the saw has a vice but I wouldn't want to hammer things in it. Plus this was more fun
On the back is a dixon bate adjustable rack for which I have two plates, one with another NATO hitch and another and a combined Dixon Bate ball/pin hitch (3.5T). Ordinarily I leave the hitch off the back to prevent theft.
Nice job. I need to make some brackets like that for the spots on my landy. My old ones fell off!
Your setup looks a lot like mine - You are working outside on the patio (I currently carry my metal cutter outside and use it on an old table), and I keep having to do bends by cutting and welding as I dont have a vice!
