As there's a legion of spanner twirlers on here I thought it would be the best place to get some decent opinions.
My current jack packed up today while I was outside in a rush and it was raining leaving me wet and in a mood . To be fair its been playing up for a bit now so I think its time to be put on light duties. So I'm after a new toy!
Ideally I want a short chassis pro-jack with a reasonable max lift height say around 500mm and I'm not too worried about max capacity as my fetish for French motors means I'm never likely to work on anything more than 1.5ton.
I've found a few that I like the look of:
I've seen this in Cosco for just over £100. Seems pretty solid and mercifully its aluminium so I won't get a hernia if I try putting it in the car...
I also like the look of this and with its fancy pedal thingy its only a couple of quid more than the standard 3ton Clarke offering.
Has anyone got either of the above or any suggestions for something else: Sealey, Draper etc? I don't want to spend a fortune but at the same time I want something that will last me a while.
Cheers, reno
