Hey peeps ive got a problem with my welding, Some back ground first, Ive been mig welding on and off for the past 4 - 5 years using the same machine ( SIP 130T) most of this has been mainly on car bodys with some thicker stuff. Now the problem the past 4 - 5 months ive found my welds to be a tad poor, very porus and when i pull the gun away the weld seems to bubbles. Ive go though two bottles ( BOC) so i know its not my gas, and im now on my second real so so it cant be that, Ive got some pics that show the problem, hopefully some one can help.
This is what the welds look like just after finish as you can see there like bubbles. ( the little pits around the bubbles in the birds eye pic is from me tapping them with a welders hammer.)
this is it after a lil flapper wheel
This was on 1.5 or 2mm mild steel ground down to real shiny metal, any idea peeps ???
