I have some of the early sets of these floodlights (https://cpc.farnell.com/v-tac/412-vt-100-b/floodlight-led-100w-3000k-black/dp/LA07330) in one of the barns. They have been excellent but are now four years old and the LED panels seem to be failing a quarter at a time. Imagine a panel of 100 LEDs split into four squares of 25, over time, a square of 25 LEDs fail to light, followed by another 25 followed by another. One light only has a quarter of the original LEDs that will turn on now.
What is likely to have failed, any guidance on how to test and is it likely to be DIY fixable?
For the cost I don't mind too much but I do hate throwing things away if they are repairable. The lights are very high up and difficult to change so I only want to go up there to either bring a light down to repair it, or replace it (so I cant do any internal pics easily!!)
Later lights I think are better quality with Samsung components, but I don't think the earlier ones were as good.
