I stopped brewing & didn’t make any for about 30 years, then one day I spotted the barrels in the shed & thought why not. They had been put on the shelf still with the old yeast in the bottom, but they cleaned up ok.
Not fussy what beer it is, try all sorts, but always buy the all malt kits, dearer but in my opinion worth spending the extra over the added sugar ones.
Ive still got the kit....most of it anyway......Ive usually got loads of beer in my fridges.....Ive got 4 full size beer fridges which used to be full for when the old Wednesdayites or my lads come round to my shed to watch football or rugby.....since lockdown its slowly shrunk to a few cans and I have to check the date on those.....I used to be out every night but that shrunk to one afternoon and a couple of nights since I retired. Of course thats stopped and even when we were allowed I didnt like the atmosphere in the pub so only met up with some friends for the odd afternoon. I havent had a drink now for about 3 weeks....old age creeps up on you.
