I bought a PCL 1/2” filter-regulator, and have “modified“ the handle securing bolts to attach it to. The idea being to have a water filter attached to the compressor when used 90% in situ, but also if moved (say 10% of the time).
I bought 3 meters of 1/2” hose, and was going to just have a short run circa 1 m from the compressor to new filter.
One tech guy told me to have the Whole 3 meters curled up As the longer the run the the cooler the air gets .....
I get the principle Of having the water filter as near to the air tool as possible as the air will have cooled more.
But loops of hose are not ideal for portability, and this version does have a substantial exhaust finned cooler
(See below) So Would it actually matter in my case? (note this is only a small 12cfm pump)
