Belt driven compressor -
Motor stalls at about 7 bar ish.
It's not the pressure switch or anything, it's the motor slowing and stalling.
Is this -
A) duff motor
B) volt drop due to long spur
C) some sort of strange mechanical issue
I'd have to look up the motor specs but by the size of the reciever etc. I reckon it's a 14cfm pump etc. (ie on the edge of a 13a supply anyway)
I've encountered a lot of issues with starting second my direct drive compressor on the end of long power lines (it eats fuses for breakfast) but that's always on start up. Once running it's fune.
I've never had one start fine and then stall before.
Thank you.
Ps.
The unloading valve is screwed too, I've just found, otherwise I could just set the pressure switch lower. Again this is stalling on running though, not on startup (although it won't start under much load either due to the unloading valve issue!)
