I made it both subjects as its likely if you know about why the ABS is failing you will also know what Citroen parts department is called. I cant find one. Let alone locally.
My das Piccasso is doing my head in. clonks and rattles he can hear and we cant, he is deaf when my mom speaks to him. lol
Anyway sorted those but he has had an ABS light come on occasionally and getting worse so its mostly got a fault and it switches its self of now.
Tried Lexia and its saying LH front sensor. SO changed the sensor thought it had solved it but it came back quite quickly after a few hundred yards.
So looked for alternatives...whilst looking checked the ABS reluctor Ring and found a shiny spot on TWO of the raised segments. All others looked dull. So we can only assume some rust has forced two segments higher than the others. Tried a small shim to raise the sensor and now the car does not even move and a fault comes on.
I cant see how it affects start up without moving as it works like a Hall effect.
So main question is does a wheel sensor get a magnetic effect whilst stationary so it thinks the left sensor is OC when its not close enough??
