Sounds like a part designed by Austin Rover and not 'improved' by BMW. Probably the same cassette design as used on rover 200 / 600 / 45 etc.Haha. It’s only 4 wires by all accounts.

Someone's been watching too much bbc news....And therein lies the potential
Progressing well, enjoying following thisToday I cut a piece out of the roof as I wasn’t happy with the shape behind the roof cut.

Unfortunately the furrow left behind was worse than before. I recut it once again, larger this time but took no pics!!! It’s better now though.
Next I carried on unpicking the spot welds down the pillar then chopped the new frame and offered it up. Waiting on the arch to sill repair before cutting any further.
A little work to do on the gutter side of the roof tomorrow and to clean off the Electrophoretic coat on the seams in readiness for welding.

Followed by new bathroom, decorate the bedrooms, lay a new patio ...............................................plan was to jam a ZX12R into it..............finished the shell, rust free...............then her indoors wanted an kitchen extension
I assume you mean the gutter? It is too wide for certain, Ive made up the drip rail to 10mm wide along its length and you can see the run out. It’s not the frame as that is clamped on the inner cant rail along the inside door frame.Needs curving round more, don't go by the seam go by the actual panel. The seams are never wide enough on replacement panels.
