Thanks robot star5 I will head down that way in a bitTry HJ Welding on the factory estate at the bottom of Parsons hill, they've done a few jobs for me and if they can't do it they can normally point you to someone who can
Unfortunately you have to drive the pin out in order to remove the trigger wheel and shaft to then be able to change the hall sensor, I wish there was another way, I must have been a bit too harsh with itLesson learned, don't drive pins out of dizzy dogs.
I would go with epoxy of some sort, JB, Steelstick, etc whatever is to hand. Should get you mobile quickly
As a temporary fix you could fit the bolt on the other side, then drill a hole in a piece of strap or plate so that the bolt this side clamps the piece remaining on the dizzy (above your thumb in the photo). Fit the broken piece beneath the strap and it will act as a spacer and also share the duties of stopping the dizzy rotating.

Yes please ruffian definitely a drink in it for you if it is.Think there is a complete abf engine under the rack at work from a rotten mk3 golf gti that got broken.
Will look later on.
I did try them but they said they didn’t have one@james butler if all else fails try Volksmagic in Oldbury http://www.volksmagic.com/

You can tell the correct one as it has a dizzy cap with ht at 90 degrees coming out and the cap is held on with 2 8mm bolts
The dizzy is held on with 2 10mm bolts
Thanks
James
