Deal going at United welding supplies.
Thermal arc 181i £479 just have to get regulator.
That also looks like a multi process machine. How does it compare to Chinese?
Edit:
Actually I've heard that thermal arc comes with a tweco torch and spares are silly expensive. So let's rule that out. Also it's about the same price as the Lincoln.
I agreeNot much, not these days anyway
They all break down, so buy from someone you want to deal with, not just a box seller. That would be my advice.
£500 for a good machine is the going rate. Don't like it? Then buy one of those horrible little transformers that do pidgeon poop welds instead.
The Kemppi minarc keeps tempting me, I'd love to try one . The reviews say how easy it is to use but at twice the price it's out of hooblah's budget. Decisions, decisions!
I would recommend the Blackline mig from rally design. Pretty sure it's the same machine as the rorh mig, just cheaper. I have a few machines, but that is the one I use on almost all mobile jobs. No idea what the support is like as I've never had an issue, but it is sold by a UK company with a decent rep. There are a few reviews on here. Really decent mig for the price. The autostar is also a good shout, but twice the price.
