Dobby is dying, aaahhh.
168000 miles, it is spending half the time in limp mode, suspension is approaching the end, sensors are all over the shop, leaks oil etc etc. I cant see it being worth spending any more money on it.

I'm after something similar, ie a van that works as a car.
I cant give a hoot about performance or looks. I want versatility, reliability and economy. High ground clearance is also important for kayaking and paragliding missions.
looks like I have a budget of around £3k, not huge but not barrel scraping. Transits and T5's etc are too big.
Looks like I am going to end up with something similar, Berlingo? Doblo again? Skoda Roomster's look like a potentially good buy. Are there an japanese versions? The small Transit family? VW?
Any thoughts? I do like having spare seats for passengers and m,y partner has grandchildren, but they can be gagged and chucked in a panel van if necessary.
so small vanlike car thingy. I have wondered about MPV's but like the van thing, less fussy and less to care about.
Big enough to kip in might be nice as well.
Any thoughts?
