Yeah its expensive ill admit that, missed out recently euro car parts were selling the 1 inch battery guns for £500 with two batteries and a charger, by the time id found out about they were all gone. If i were going to be doing tyer fitting id get the petrol. But since im not id go battery as i cant really see the need to take off more than 1 wheel at a time. Though since you can have a petrol impact for £500 quid unless the millwaukee comes back on offer any time soon i will admit i probably will go the petrol route.
Id agree that air drive needs a rethink we hardly use power tools in my company as air is just pathetic, and too many people also dont have a clue how to use them and just break stuff or strip threads when they do so man power only for us most of the time. There are plenty long pipe off cuts hanging around the engine room.
No stranger to scaff pipes on strong bars mate but a crank pulley nut on an automatic is just gonna spin the engine with that method whereas a decent rattle will hammer the nut off without even budging the timing marks, which it did. Its also a keyless button ignition so using the starter to undo it would have been risky as a quick flick isn't easy with button starts.
