I'm looking at replacing my single garage up and over door with something that fits properly and is more secure, the opening appears to be standard width but 125mm taller than a standard door so has a huge gap top and bottom.
The plan is to make a metal frame and clad it in wood using a decent thickness tongue and groove.
Has anyone done anything similar and would 40x40x3 be a good size for the frames for the doors? I was going to use 8x2 C16 for the overall frame with metal pads and welded hinges.
