but it's been a long time since i've welded. probably 35 years. even then i was self taught but the frequency of welding then kept me improving. since then though things have changed. equipment on my end was an airco gasoline welder and a hand full of 6011 rods, plus i was in my 30's. now it's a wire welder, not as steady hands and bad eyes. a problem i'm having some of you may also is now that i'm 64 i have to wear no line bi focals. there's something about when i put the hood on i have a slight double vision which keeps me from being in the right spot i need to weld in. i can close one eye and it's better but can't hardly do that all the time. i know being steady is important and steady my hand asaist something but the eyes are the main trouble. anyone else have this and a remedy maybe?
