I've been asked to get a Yanmar C10R tracked dumper back into working order. It's rubber tracks are worn-out but the drive sprockets are also shagged as they have been loose and moving on the splines so much that the inside of the sprocket looks dreadful. Don't think they would have hung on much longer. Fortunately, the drive shafts are both good and must be considerably harder than the sprockets. The problem is that this appears to be a grey import and was never brought into this country otherwise. Have tried all of the main suppliers or parts and none can come back with the sprockets let alone a cost for them. As a fall-back, I was wondering about having the inside built-up and the splines re-machined. Anyone done this? Although a very old machine, the rest of it is in good order. The repair needs to be cost effective as with the cost of new tracks and the work to the sprockets, it could add up to a fair chunk of money.
Did wonder if the sprockets were the same as used on some of there mini-diggers but have even drawn a blank on this approach. Photo's of sprockets attached. Dims:220 mm O/A diameter, Boss 42 mm diameter, Boss spigot 62 mm long, sprocket width 20 mm, Number of splines 16,
