few problems with the local scroats, nothing serious,
however, need to know when they're around.
compared various alarm mine designs that can be simply and readily replicated.
My question is, which would be the most effective for the choice of cartridge?
Tempted with the .38cal blanks, as the saying goes, the bigger the better, but do not know how loud or effective they're going to be in attaining my prerequisite.
Other options, 12g flashbangs are hellish expensive and discounted on the grounds of possible fire hazard, using 12g primers only, would be a total waste of time and effort.
.22cal starting blanks and Hilti blanks(red or purple maybe ok) possibly help if unit mounted in a galvanised bucket aimed towards the trip wire.
.27cal Hilti, no experience, don't think I've ever heard these in use. Opinions please.
.38cal, on paper, this seems to be my prefered choice.
Comments on other options and alternatives gratefully received.
