I meant how to do air lock a pipe that big, with free flowing water in it, going down hill
Air will block any pipe given the slightest chance

but there's no way he'll have enough flow to fill a 110mm pipe to give a 'traditional' air lock
It proper membrane as there's some left over and I even ran some water through it to check!did they line it with plastic instead of membrain ?
the hole you dug where the pipe goes in... I'd dig along so it's a trench to the edge and past the soakaway
then you'll be able to see if it's just the soakaway that's full or if the area around it is soaked too
Id be digging and heading for the woodland. Is the lower soil clay, as its not the best for water to percolate through, thats why for septic tanks they do a percolation test, to see if itll allow the water away.
You want the company that did my grandparents when that was installed. They'd done a couple of tests and test holes to evaluate the area and came back with a price for drilling it. Bearing in mind this was the Scottish Highlands so heavily laden with granite boulders the size of, well, the Highlands.A bore hole is a fortune
New soak away installed.
At no cost to you & your neighbour, I hope?
