Hi All,
Swmbo has been visiting her elderly parents today, she has been helping clear stuff out.
She spotted an engine in the garage and her dad told her it was the engine out of a MK2 Escort estate. He self scrapped many years ago. Apparently the body rotted off it, its complete with gearbox no rear axle but he kept the front, he doesn't know the engine size as it was so many years ago.
Its been stored under his bench since in a fairly dry garage. I got him on the phone to see if he could give me any more details but he is pretty vague as he is a retired agricultural engineer and has taken so many engines out of things its all getting a bit blurry for him. He is going to look up some stuff in the haynes manual if he still has it (according to swmbo he probably does) and get back to me.
Is it worth anything? He wants shot of it, its taking up loads of room and he wants the space for other junk .
Richard
