I'm looking to buy my first welding helmet, and have come across the Speedshield V Auto Helmet
Here -
https://www.thewelderswarehouse.com/Welding-Supplies/Speedshield-V-Automatic-Welding-Helmet.html
Part of the sales pitch for all their helmets, is that they have permanent DIN 15 UV and IR protection no matter what the settings, and totally guard against arc-flash, even if auto dim fails. You simply get the very bright light.
This seems essential to me, as I am very concerned to protect my aging eyes from damage.
Is this level protection common in helmets, and how effective would it be?
Thanks
