I have ubiquity kit also, specifically the amplifi stuff https://store.amplifi.com/
Before this, I tried a Netgear WiFi extender, and power line adaptors, both of which were unreliable.
The amplifi stuff is a real WiFi mesh as well, so I can walk around the house and all of the garden, including garage and office without ever dropping off the WiFi.
The nice thing about the ubiquiti kit is that an extender can route through another to get to the main access point. This is how I get enough range to go into the garage.
When routing like this I get up to 40mbps, or 100mbit when going direct through the access point (I think the bottle neck here is virgin, as I only pay for 100mbit).
It wasn't cheap, however... I paid 350 about a year ago
