So a neighbour rang to see if I could help fix a flat tyre. Sure, I said, pop it round and I'll nip into Halfords.
It's a 28 inch tyre. Awesome. Easy fix, get a 28" inner tube (but not listed on the Halfords website).
Bizarrely though, the diameter of the tyre measures 27 inches.
Incredibly, this actually does match the text on the old inner tube:
But there's no way of knowing for sure that that's the "correct" size tube. Not even sure it the tube has a puncture because it has a super slim shraeder valve and I don't have an adapter.
Ok never mind, the size will reveal itself. It's written on the banding. 26"
But hang on, the actual wheel rim measures 25 inches!
Then my worst nightmare happens. She rang up to say she was popping to the shop and could pick it up herself "what size do I want?"
