I'm planning a few small projects to get some welding experience. One of the first will be a welding cart and a lightweight workbench.
The workbench will be 160x50x90 (WxDxH) and made out of a steel frame with a multiplex tabletop and shelves. I would like to keep the frame "light", but it should be sturdy. It will be used to store some tools and do some small work on top. I've a heavy mobile workbench that I use for larger projects.
I've made a drawing using 20x20x2 square tubing for the legs, 20x30x3 L-profile for the horizontal supports and 20x2 flat strip for the extra supports under the tabletop/shelves.
Would this be sufficiently stiff or will this start to flex over time?
