Hi everyone, hope you all doing well.
Today I've been working on the Lombardini LA65 engine I've got years ago.
I'm in difficulty to get it starts.
It starts only with choke ,it runs few seconds then dies .
After various attempts I'm wondering few possible causes .
The timing or the carburettor .
I've never tuned a 4 strokes carb .
The engine was given to me by a friend of mine in early 2018 without carburettor .
So I've bought a Briggs and Stratton carb on AliExpress .
After having build an adapter to fit the carburettor , I've started it and it ran for few minutes prior the Magneto ignition failed .
Been sitting for about 18 months then I've modified the Magneto to use an external coil .
I've probably messed up with the timing during reassembly .
But I'm thinking that it wouldn't never run if was this the case .
So I'm wondering that might be the carburettor not properly tuned or dirty?
Can someone advise me how to proceed ?
Thanks in advance
