Still on the hunt for wheels for my trailer.
17.5" 6 stud - lorry wheels basically. As used on the fronts of 7.5 and 12 tonners.
I can get them off the shelf for £85 each but the offset is wrong. They have quoted me £165 each to modify so I get the correct offset. I need 3.
Then I thought why not knock up some spacers. Only need 2. Spacers would need to be 12mm thick.
Never mind all the doom and gloom merchants with legalities. I am quite sure the ones I make will be a lot stronger than the aluminium ones most people use.
Has anyone made them?
I see many people use a solid brake disc as a starting point. Of course I would have to use longer studs.
The wheels themselves are rated at 3500kg each - my all up trailer weight will be 3500kg total so plenty of overkill there.
