can i? i know there are 4 wires running up them, i also wanna cut them in half too
depending on what bit u have in the sds . impact bits wont drill through the steel reinforcement bars. a bosch multidrill bit willyep you can indeed.... decent hammer drill or sds will drill them and a grinder with a stone blade will cut them , nothing fancier than that needed

just fyi ,,, if you hit a bit of wire with a masonry bit , turn off the hammer and it will drill through no prob , heres the next sneaky tip , if your having hassles drilling something like stainless or high carbon steel , try a masonry bit with no hammer , you may just be surprised at the results , its a handy trick to have up your sleeve on a bad day.depending on what bit u have in the sds . impact bits wont drill through the steel reinforcement bars. a bosch multidrill bit will
because i got these 8 posts for free sitting hereWhy not just use concrete spurs instead? That’s what they’re meant for.
ha if i had to pay for them no brainer to get spurs, I have them so may as well use them up. its that or sink the wooden posts into the ground but we all know they dont last half as longFairy nuff.
You can drill them in the middle as said, rebar runs up each corner. However, I personally wouldn't go cutting them in half, if you leave the bar exposed to the elements it will rust, expand and bust the concrete off.
these have 4 lengths of re bar in them i can see it at the ends dont mean it dont shift up the length though cutting in half will help see! i presume the re bar is 2 lengths bent over at the tops and returns down the other sideI did exactly the same thing last year
chop one up and see where the rebar runs, sometimes in the middle, sometimes not
I got lucky and was able to drill M12 in the middle

not sure Lee, only one way to find out
I’ve seen these things being made at Stress line, if done properly the rebar I stretched, concrete poured and cured then tension released
so the concrete post remains under tension
