I'm doing an underside refurbishment/restoration on my e46 m3 and had originally got Upol Raptor for the topcoat. I chose this for its durability and because it's tintable and I wanted the underside body colour (imola red).
I was unaware of the extent of the RPE requirements prior to joining this forum and now I'm not sure I want to use it as I can't justify the costs of air fed equipment for what will end up being a few hours spraying.
The car is on my driveway in the open air, a few feet in front of my garage in a residential development. Although my house is detached, our neighbours' living room window is only a few feet from where the car sits and they have a 2 year old which is another reason I'm hesitant to use it.
I want to use raptor because it's tintable so I'm considering using a roller for application but I've not found any confirmation that application by roller is safer than spray, both for me and the immediate environment.
I have another option called WAR from a site called buzzweld which is tintable and doesn't contain ISOs from what I can tell. I've asked the question but I think they have a backlog of messages they're working through.
Cheers
