I've had to cut some 1.2mm steel sheet today, using the 5in angry grinder, and it's eaten the discs. (Too wet to set up the plasma cutter + compressor - and i've misplaced the drill nibbler)
2of 79in cuts + 4of 12in cuts.
I went through 5of 1mm discs!
Admittedly, they weren't the best quality: erbauer from screwfix (from when they were sellng them off stupid cheap a couple of years ago) but they've been ok on thicker stock.
Is there a better type of disc to use on thin steel or a different attachment (i'm sure i've seen an octagonal(?) blade that turns it into like a pair of shears? - or is that just for fabric?
This is more for info, than anything else - this was a one-off job (which probably means i'll be repeating it every week in perpetuity)
