Ok schoolboy error I didn’t mark where the two wires went upon disassembly can anyone help as at the moment the motor won’t turn. All is free it’s just where to put them correctly
Take one of the wires off and connect to the other pair off spades. It doesn't matter which one you use.
At the moment you have both wires connected to just one terminal on the cap.
Was ok till I pulled it apart, guess I better try a new one what a pain, I will still be in the same position if I get a new cap though not knowing how to connect.
your wiring is still wrong. Your live should come in and split to both the main winding and start/run capacitor. The capacitor should be in series on the start/run winding.
The cables with the green and black tracers look like the run winding ends. Verify with a testmeter. If they are, then they are correctly connected across line and neutral. Of the other two wires, one goes to the capacitor and the other one to either line or neutral terminal, it doesn't matter which at this point. The other side of the capacitor goes to the other mains terminal. If the motor turns in the wrong direction then reverse either the black/green pair, or the pair that connect to the capacitor.
