I have a hilmor rh3 tube bender great machine but I never used the jd type is there advantage to change to a jd type one?
Aye so is mine, although I do have a small power pack I was intending to hook up one of these daysYes it's the same but my one is a hand pump one
@whensparksfly Is this the type you are talking about? It is what I have and think it is superb, will bend heavy duty pipes and tube, 1 1/2" NB Sch 40 stainless is a breeze.

Arr, my search last night pulled up, a conduit bender.
If yours is the same as Mr Hood then it is a rotary draw Bender.
Not sure what you would call it but works different from JD stuff I think.
Found a vid of one in action on youtube.

I suspect both have their advantages.
Suppose it depends on what someone is willing to pay, mine has 2", 1.5" and 1" and I paid £50 for it about 8 years ago.What s my rh3 worth has good selection of dies
