hi, my names matt, i'm 16 and have just started work as a panel beater. about 6 months ago i went on a welding course at leeds college of technology and the welders there worked great but i came to get my welder at home out yesterday (first time i've used it) and when i came to start welding, as soon as the wire touched the metal, it sparked and i didn't even press the trigger. is this meant to happen? because the ones at college didn't do that and i can't get used to this becuase i could rest the wire on the metal with those ones at college.plus i have also seen it in videos where the wire is on the metal and there is no spark. can anyone help?
