Yes it's "broadly" similar, although there is no second oilway through the casting for oil to travel from below the piston to above (on mine it goes through a hole in the piston). And there are no o-rings. And it looks as if the arrangement of control knobs on top of the cylinder is different.
Which way does yours rotate?
Like you I would expect that the operation of the pump would be a bit in advance of the saw, so that he blade would start to lift at the end of the cutting stroke, and start to fall at the end of the return stroke. I will try to reassemble mine to the point that I can see which way the motor needs to rotate top achieve this.
