This is a question for the plumbers and electricians on here. I have 3.8kw of pv, conneted via a gizmo that diverts power that would otherwise be exported to my immersion heater. Our boiler is a conventional one, the system works really well, the water is piping hot by midday. I would really like to be able to heat a storage heater, but the old style conventional ones are leaky and lack controllabillity, the suppliers of these have not been very forthcoming - even getting back to me would be good, but in these times to be expected. So that's problem 1.
My daughter has a similar PV with an updated gizmo that can switch between 2 outputs. So the storage heater issue applies to her equally.
Problem 2 my daughter has a combi boiler, so no hot water tank. Now, I would like to use the PV to heat a tank and feed that into the combi. But yet again, the industry in this country is slow to recognise the need, and very few, if any, makers detail the maximum inlet temperature, and whether it's even allowed with their boiler. I have read that a modulating boiler might work - but again the makers don't tell you.
@Kayos replied to my thread jack earlier, it would be a good start to explain why it would be potentially dangerous?

No, dont ever do that, it wont work and could be dangerous
A cylinder is heated through a coil, any boiler including a combi can be connected to that with the appropriate controls
