Stick them to trolleys at your local supermarketI've about 50 or 60 of these that came fitted to the euro crates I bought.
Any suggestions as to a use for them? It seems a shame to bin them.

@RonA I've chatted to someone who'd seen one of the big supermarkets R&D store (aka a warehouse setup as a dummy store), and they have successfully trialled RFID as you mention. The only thing stopping it from happening, was the cost of adding the tags to all the goods. IIRC the price point for it being cost effective was somewhere between 1 to 2 pounds.
decathlon is currently using this. so no need to scan anything at the tills.. was strange when i first used it.Give them to your local supermarket. They were supposed to be implementing RFID technology to allow you to leave your shopping in the trolley & scan all at once, reducing the waiting times at the tills.
