Am slowly working my way through all the neglected auxiliary electrics on my wagon and trailer, some of which are being cut out and replaced, and have to fit a couple of new towbar style 12N sockets to the trailer along with some new 3 pin sockets for the wide load marker lights.
Is it good practice to cover all the internals with grease or vaseline before bolting everything up tight, to keep the rust at bay?
