I know I can improve but feel they are coming along..
Thanks
Andy
do you think there improving mate finding this easyer than mig welding..Keep practicing , nobody born leaned
Look good to me,and no where near an expert, but i think your next move is on joints butt, fillet, lap, its a bigger test than laying beadsdo you think there improving mate finding this easyer than mig welding..
mate I have a joint with few tacks so that will be in line next to get welded up plus a few other idea's...Look good to me,and no where near an expert, but i think your next move is on joints butt, fillet, lap, its a bigger test than laying beads
Yes I do ,much better than your first attempts, keep practicing and as said try to melt together somethingdo you think there improving mate finding this easyer than mig welding..
ok will do got some 2.5's , what you mean about what happening while welding..You should try to find some thicker material and try using smaller electrodes ,so you can find the time to understand what's happening while welding
I get your points mate also been doing some joint weldsIf you use a smaller electrode on thicker material you have less chance of burning through it mate
So you can slow down and take time to watch whats happening.
Observe how the weld pool behaves and how it affects the metal around it. You'll see an area that looks wet.
mate I've done better with stick than mig..I'm not an expert by the way, still learning myself. But i enjoy stick welding, got a few projects done that way.

Exactly, perfect explained @SteScouseIf you use a smaller electrode on thicker material you have less chance of burning through it mate

+1IMO stick the best way to learn. I love the simplicity of it too.
Keep at it and decide on a project thats thats not too critical. Once you made something sense of achievement properly motivates you.
My first project was big brackets for garden fence. On old phone, dig them out after work
I do keep learning @Memmeddu take tips and advice on board..Exactly, perfect explained @SteScouse
100%+1
stick welding is the best way to learn welding , because it has some sort of involved difficult in it .
Slag , angles,feed, current, Arc length .
Second thing to learn is oxy acetylene
Then fluxcore
Then MIG
And finally Tig
IMHO this should be the learning process
