We have a tiny workshopnice machines there
though for the slotter id have expected a much bigger working area
than that small thing to work from it kinda dwarfs the largeness of the machine against its work area
It’s an Ajax.Is that a bridgeport slotting head lurking behind your Butler?
Those things must be on the go almost constantly, is the maintenance based around a schedule similar to one on the machine, one under repair, and a couple ready to be fitted.we now use it for crane wheel refurbs (waste incinerators grab gantry crane)
We have a tiny workshop
Oh I see your meaning. Yeah I guess so.its not that brad
i would have expected a bigger work table to fasten stuff down too than the size of round work table that you have there for a machine like that
something twice the size or even bigger to work from on the shaper

You do realise a slotter is primarily designed for doing internal keyways? Gears and pulleys etc. Hence the round table. It's not exactly a small gear or pulley that can fit in that throat.
They’re lovely machines. This has been abused daily for years.I used to repair those Huron mills...........our toolroom had 4 of them, they were worked hard.
It’s a nice machine. Good find.Nice stuff in there brad. Slotter is same size as mine.
