I've been toying with the idea of a band saw since I started making my first knife. The steel is all done and this morning a pair of wooden scales arrived to make the handle. I was going to make do with whatever tools I had in the shop to shape the wood. I had a look on Gumtree and saw this band saw put up for sale last night. The owner's dad passed it on to him. It's old but in good shape and a quick Google appeared to turn up spare blades for it, though I've still to confirm that. There's a spare tilting table as well. The original one also tilts. I'll see if I can find an online manual for it and source blades for cutting metal and wood.
