Is there a difference in Chinese product quality between these two venders ?
I don't know but Shop River has a good reputation of stocking quality stuff plus he's reliable, if you order something you will receive it!

I've just bought one of the Lidl plasma cutters and have a question over whether mine has a problem or it's a characteristic. I'm a first time user with one of these, so am not familiar with the operation;
I can do a clean cut just fine, but the torch wont re-start until the post-flow cooling cycle air blast has completed. If I mis-strike, or interrupt a cut, I have to wait until again until the cycle is over before it will resume. Is this normal for this machine? Air pressure remains good and the connections to the machine are firm and making good contact.
Thanks for that - its really interesting and I'm going back up to the workshop right now to have another try along the same lines. I rang Lidl customer service yesterday afternoon and they don't have any for exchange. The ones in S.Wales would be too far for me (I'm in N.Staffs). Interestingly, customer service told me there were none left anywhere in the country. I sent a message to the warranty company explaining I'd bought it new and found a fault and they sent a reply asking me who'd tried to repair it. Groan.......
Edit: Just tried it on some zinc-flashed car repair sheet. I also noticed a very weak spark on the coating (hadn't seen this on bare steel) after the first cut, but still no re-start. dyno-tron's words were going through my mind - "I wonder if there is something going on inside the gun". I checked out the switch with my DMM and it's fine, but dismantled the ceramics/electrodes for the fourth time and it looked like the retaining cap wasn't screwing on far enough, even though it screws down firmly. A bit more force when screwing it home and it suddenly gave and it went on another turn or so. Well, I can't tell you how pleased I am to report back that it now works 100%. That's all it was - the damned thing was catching on something.
I started to get a similar problem but when I unscrewed and re-tightened the nozzle it came back to life -- PHEW!
I have not unboxed mine yet, waiting for my electrician mate to install my 3 phase wiring (I have never touched 3 phase) so I can get the compressor in the shed working, strange, I have built my house from scratch, shed from pallets, rebuilt and flown a Cessna 172, restored countless vintage motorcycles, built rally cars, but there are a few things I don't do, 3 phase, finish plastering, washing up, gardening...….. and nappies, well once or twice....
That's Ok, I knew about it after I measured the existing Parkside ones. For the price I thought it was worth taking a chance.youve bought the shorter plasma torch bits not the extended torch bits i nearly got caught out on that one myself

you wouldnt have thought it matters but it does when you try to use a straight edge
the length allows you to put the nozzle say against angle iron and to use the angle irons edge to cut down it fine at free hand or using a wheeled guide against a straight edge or a round guide drilled into the metal
