The pot to the right, labelled RP2, sets the lower limit and the one labelled RP1 sets the upper.
So do you think that turning preset pot RP1 ( clockwise ? ) will allow the upper current limit to rise from 30A to 40A ?

How long before we get a modding the Parkside Plasma thread?I've had a dig into the beast and can confirm my original thoughts.

With RP2 you can easily see the track runs which connect from the "low side" of the front panel potentiometer to the ground plane.
The other pot, RP1, I had to meter since the tracks are on the top side of the board. It is indeed on the "high side" of the front panel potentiometer, so sets the upper limit.
It's a nicely constructed piece of kit with conformal coating on all boards.

They're really easy to make and work really well - I made one of these a few years ago (photos etc here).

Thanks, had a look (and found letter templates 3D-printable on Thingiverse), will set myself a little task - I have a diecast box's lid to engrave to make my VFD remote a bit posh
I might make it separate from the mill, thought of an alternative to using its quill (it doesn't have one) for the Z-axis...
If I drop you a PM, could you email me your plans, pretty please?

Just sums up what is wrong with modern society I think...I mean by all means add £10 or £20 but to add £100 is just plain greed. Seems to have a whole Lidl store for sale too....personally I wouldn't be listing so many tools...and have my home address listed at the bottom of the page on ebay!

You could buy 4 or more for just £170.99 each, turn the pots up with a clamp meter and average out when they go bang, then return them to HIM for a refund.
Pimp my Parkside - zero risk version, just hope PayPal keeps there end of the bargain and ensures you get a refund when retiring a bricked plasma
Probably has a unit/lockup somewhere other than that address, stuffed to the gunwales with Lidl product(s).
