Nice bit of old kit, that. Perfect for 116E fettling.
I rate the Clarke Pro Mig 90 for car work. Model is basically unchanged for 30 years. I've still got an early one, they had better feed motors.
Is there any particular type of curtain wire?
Seeing this reminded me I have a Clarke Pro Mig 90 in the garage, quietly rusting away. It must be 30 years old and I bought it for car body repairs, which at the time were a financial necessity. I seem to remember it worked quite well for that; satisfied the MOT inspector anyway. Last used it about 15 years ago to extract broken cylinder head bolt from the block on a Peugeot 405.
I must drag it out and see if it still works once the weather improves, so might be a while.
